This year, I have been busy thinking, learning, and moderately reviving old drafts. Also fighting January colds (both my own and others’), working hard, chasing an EXTREMELY mobile one year old and watching the new TMNT movie on repeat with Lily (it is SO good, people).
My short CNF piece, “The Incomplete List of What I Lost,” was published in the Rappahannock Review in December. Here is my interview about it. They asked such thoughtful questions!
“My Sister’s Octopus” received yet another nomination by the lovely and supportive Peatsmoke Journal! Best Small Fictions 2023, run by Alternating Press.
My 2024 hot take is that Saltburn is not worth watching. It’s dark, lushly atmospheric but somewhat clunky and shocking just for the hell of it. But this song slaps. Just go watch Mutant Mayhem instead, you’ll thank me.
I enjoyed reading your interview on The Incomplete List, and I'm so glad your work is getting out into the world!
