In a world of hamburgers, be a corndog

Dear Breading On The Outside Editors and Readers,

Please find my attached 600-word piece, “Nibble Around The Stick,” a flash creative nonfiction about my life as a corndog in a world of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and the occasional chicken sandwich.

Third person bio: Sara Streeter is a corndog. She has been published in The Corndog Review, Sometimes Frozen, and Foods On Sticks. She feels strongly that wings should be eaten with blue cheese, not ranch, and that cover bands are overrated. Find her everywhere as CorndogsRUs.

Thank you for your consideration. I’ll be OK if you don’t like it, though I did bleed ketchup on my keyboard, even sacrificing crumbs of my lightly sweetened cornbread layer to share these words with you. This story is the essence of my existence, but don’t worry, by the time you reject me it in a generic form message on Submittable nine months from now, I will be nothing but a small wooden stick. I am only a humble carnival food after all.
